You might have browsed Pinterest and seen people posting about their bullet journals or been to the store and seen a lot of different planners, but have never picked one up yourself. Why not? It can sometimes seem like they are a waste of time, but this could not be further from the truth! Both planners and journals have a lot of use in your life. Here are some reasons to start using them.

Benefits of Using Planners

First, let’s discuss the benefits of using planners. These are different from traditional journals because you have different inserts in the book, such as for adding appointments and various types of lists. A planner generally has a monthly section. This is where you have everything jotted down and can see it at a glance. Then there are usually weekly sections where you break those projects and things down into tasks. Some have daily sections where things are broken down into steps.

Why you should use a planner:

They Save Time – One of the top benefits of using a planner is that it truly helps you to save more time. Think of how chaotic things become when you forget about appointments, so you have to scramble to get everything done in order to get to those appointments. Or when you are trying to look through all the different notebooks and calendars you have to find the right list you wrote down. If everything is in one place, you are not only more organized, but you are going to save a lot of time as well.

You Won’t Miss Any More Tasks – Another reason using a planner is beneficial is because you won’t miss or forget all those tasks that seem to be passed over. This may not seem like a big deal, but when you keep forgetting to make a phone call or go to the store to pick something up, you find yourself overwhelmed with all these things you have to get done at last-minute’s notice. It is much easier to add all tasks, big or small, to your planner and schedule when you will do them.

It Reduces Stress – With these other benefits, you can imagine how much it relieves stress in your life. A lot of stress is from things you can actually control, like organizing your life with a planner or a journal. Take full advantage of it and see how your life and happiness transforms.

All the best,
